PCBA Quote Online: What Files You Need for Assembly Pricing

Getting an accurate PCBA quote requires more information than a bare PCB quote. The more complete your data package, the faster and more accurate the pricing will be.

Required files

• Gerber files (bare board fabrication data)
• BOM (Bill of Materials) with MPN and quantities
• CPL file (component placement list, also called pick-and-place)

Helpful additional files

• Assembly drawing with component orientation
• 3D step file for height clearance checks
• Schematic for reference
• Test requirements or functional test procedure

Without a complete BOM, any PCBA quote is only an estimate. The fastest path to accurate assembly pricing is a clean BOM with manufacturer part numbers.
